Truck Protest in Canada

In the early January of 2022, convoys of truck drivers gathered in Ottawa, Canada’s capital, to protest the mandatory vaccine role for truckers who travel to the United States and then re-enter Canada. Later their actions inspired similar demonstrations in other cities of Canada, also other countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
Protesters blocked the city and bridge for days and on Feb. 6, the mayor of Ottawa declared a state of emergency, later on Feb. 14, Mr. Trudeau declared a national public order emergency trying to stop the protest, which is rare in Canada.
Some of the bridges have opened but the minister of public safety said people should avoid coming to Ottawa. And the protest is still in its current position.
